Epilogue Fail

As much as I love the Harry Potter series, I have trouble liking the epilogue, mainly because it fails to piece together the characters that Rowling spent 7 books trying to develop.  There is very little closure within the epilogue. All we really find out is that harry marries Ginny and has three kids. Ron marries Hermione and has two kids. Both of these things are extremely obvious as to what was going to happen. The only bits that were relatively surprising was that Neville teaches at Hogwarts and that Teddy is snogging Victore. The most annoying thing about that is WE DON’T EVEN KNOW WHOSE KID SHE IS. It can be assumed that it is Bill’s kid (due to the fact that Victore is French) but that’s not definite. It could very well be any of the other Weasely’s kids.

One person who we hear nothing about is Luna, who in my mind is the best character in the entire series. I would love to see what she is doing with her life. Actually, I really wanted Neville and Luna to end up together. But once again, Rowling disappointed me because there is no substance to the epilogue whatsoever.
