There were a lot of things that I loved about the Harry Potter series but my favorite was the final scene between Voldemort and Harry. This made an already fantastic book even better in my opinion. It is hard to name everything about this scene that I love because there are so many.
First of all, the scene is off to a great start the death of Bellatrix by Molly. Voldemort then stands alone just as Harry stands without Dumbledore. Then, It is just so Cool that Harry's sacrifice is protecting everyone just as his mother's sacrifice protected him. I love that Harry told Voldemort about the greatest love in this series, that of Snape for Lilly. This kind of love goes beyond romance, it was a deep friendship developed at the most vulnerable age. Friendship and love are one of the strongest themes in these novels. Rowling exemplifies how these two concepts have the greatest chances at concering the evil in our word. In this scene, Voldemort realizes that his evil power, over someone like Snape, is no match for any kind of real love. Next, Harry gives Voldemort a chance for remose. This is noble considering what he has done to Harry.
Voldemort spent a lifetime searching for power. In this search for power, Voldemort greatly envied the elder wand. It is fantastic that one of the most Powerful magical sources ended up causing his downfall. I love the quote about the wand honoring its true master and the story behind how Harry became the master. If everything had not occurred just right then everything could have gone wrong. But things worked out for Harry and Voldemort lost. This is where I see a larger culturally context. I believe it shows that no matter how messed up the world or life becomes, good will conquer evil as long as there is love and friendship somewhere.
